Ben Mendez is one of two owners of PMG Project Management Group, LLC. Mendez has more than 17 years of experience in the energy, architectural, engineering, and construction industries, with special expertise in managing, budgeting, and program/policy development. Prior to starting PMG, Mendez served as the Program Manager for the Houston Police Department's Design and Construction Division, where he managed some of the City's highest profile projects.
As a community servant, Mendez serves on numerous boards, including the American Red Cross. Mendez is the founder of the National Hispanic Professional Organization (NHPO), a national networking organization. In addition, Mendez founded the Leadership Institute, a program designed to assist individuals in their quest to become effective board members for non-profit organizations. Recently, Mendez was elected as Chairman for the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce (TAMACC), a statewide chamber of commerce. Mendez is also a television host for Latino Talk TV, a weekly community based live television show that covers hot topics of the day.
Mendez earned his Associates Degree from Houston Community College in 1989. In 1994, he earned his Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Houston.
Vladimir Naranjo is a Professional Licensed Civil Engineer and Managing Partner of PMG Project Management Group, LLC. He has more than 18 years of experience in the construction, engineering, and energy efficiency industries. He specializes in program/project management, project controls, code compliance, and project administration for projects in the United States and abroad. Prior to joining PMG, Naranjo served as the Chief Engineer for the City of Houston, General Services Department, Design and Construction Division.
Naranjo currently serves on the National Board of the National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC) and Chairman of the board for the NAMC Houston Chapter.
Naranjo holds a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from "Universidad Nacional" de Colombia and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston.
